“Urgent News! The inside story of the last attack on London was exposed with a surprising twist!” the news anchor said solemnly.
“The following video was provided anonymously and it shows the image of Mysterio right before his death! But we warn the viewer that the content may come as shocking!” The news anchor added.
The news channels all over the world played the same video everywhere, showing Quentin Beck’s face all over the world.
“I tried my best to send back the Elementals to their world, but I might not be able to leave this bridge alive! I don’t know why, but Spiderman suddenly attacks me with so many Stark Drones! He said that he’s the only one that was worthy enough to become the new Iron Man!” Quentin Beck said as he showed Peter in front of him, talking to EDITH with several drones around him.
“Exterminate everything! Leave nothing behind!” Peter’s voice was heard in the video. The video turned towards the drones that started to bombard the ground and attacked everything around them indiscriminately before the video was cut off.
“Earlier today, this highly controversial video was released by the Daily Bugle News …’ the image inside the Tv changed again, this time showing J.J. Jameson that already made it his lifelong mission to ruin Spiderman’s life.
“Everyone saw what that menace had done! Spiderman is a murderer! He murdered Mysterio to take the throne of the heroes himself! He killed a hero that saved the Earth from troubles!” J.J Jameson began his usual rant. “People now know that Spiderman is a villain, not a hero! The real hero is Mysterio and he already sacrificed himself to tell us the truth!” J.J Jameson said in high spirit.
“But that’s not all, people! There is a bigger bombshell coming up, sit tight and keep watching!” J.J Jameson said solemnly before the screen changed to Mysterio again.
“Spiderman’s real name is … Peter Parker!” Mysterio said as the screen changed to a photo of Peter. Meanwhile, Peter was too stunned to even react as he saw his photo captured on the big screen, revealing to everyone his real identity.
“What the fuck!” Peter shouted loudly as he came back to his senses. He covered his head in disbelief as he would never expect Mysterio would do something underhanded and cheap like this. Everything inside Mysterio’s video was already tweaked and none of it was the truth!
But there was nothing Peter could do as he knew that everyone wouldn’t believe him. Everything looked so perfect as Mysterio obviously used his Holographic Technology to make the video as real as possible.
Mysterio was already prepared to drive Peter to the wall! Even though he lost his life, he still could hurt Peter in an unimaginable way! Peter knew that public opinion was easily swayed right now and there was no doubt in Peter’s mind that the public would surely demonize him soon.
The Media obviously played a huge role in this scenario as none of them even bothered to confirm the truth to Peter first before spreading the video around. They didn’t even care about the impact and consequences of their action after the video was spread around the globe.
All the media cared about was their rating! And with this video, they surely gained an extravagant rating! Regarding whether Spiderman really murdered someone or not, it didn’t really matter.
Questions and discussions immediately flooded the internet and more than thousands of people responded. Some of them felt like they had been deceived by the video and demanded the media purge all Mysterio-related videos and apologize to Spiderman, while some believed that the video was real!
It was hard to prove as Mysterio was already dead. What made things worst was that Mysterio’s persona was attached to the public, so no matter what Peter would say, the public would view Mysterio as a hero that already saved the Earth.
Public opinion was a hard thing to change. Someone might think Peter wasn’t at fault here, but at the end of the day, they would be engulfed by the masses’ public view. Still, Peter couldn’t stand it and choose to flee the view of the scene first. Peter knew that he wouldn’t be able to stand the accusation from strangers that would fly toward him later.
He needed someone to help him solve this problem of his, as he didn’t know what to do.

“What do we do? Shouldn’t we let Happy talk to the media and provide some evidence that would clear Peter and our name?” Pepper asked worriedly.
“It’s no use! People already identified Peter as Mysterio’s killer and changing that public perspective is almost impossible! No matter how much evidence we gave, no one would believe it as it would just be considered some evidence tampering.” Tony said as he shook his head.
“Evidence can be forged and unless Mysterio suddenly comes back to live, Peter is in deep trouble right now,” Tony said as he rubbed his head frustratedly. He felt like a headache was coming as he still didn’t know how to fix this problem. Mysterio used his own death as a weapon to petrify public opinion from changing against him.
“Then what? Are you going to watch that poor kid withstand so much pressure?” Pepper asked curiously.
“The accusation of murder itself didn’t really matter! The worst thing right now is that Peter’s identity has been revealed to the world! The criminals he sent to the prison wouldn’t miss their chance for revenge!” Tony said with a sigh.
“So what now?” Pepper asked.
“There is no good way to resolve this situation. We just have to wait and see what Peter wants. If he wants to go public, I can protect his loved ones under Stark Industries’ name. By the way, isn’t Happy close to Peter’s aunt? Aren’t they planning on getting married soon?” Tony suddenly remembered.
“I don’t know, Happy hasn’t told me about it yet.” Pepper was suddenly interrupted as Tony’s phone rang.
It was a call from Peter himself.
