return to the office.

Logan pursed his lips and said, “Gerard Lichman of J&L Corporation is here. He said that he came to
talk to you about next quarter’s contract…”

Why did Gerard come over at this time?

“Tell him to make an appointment. Or, he can talk to Grant.”
Nicole looked at the time and did not want to delay her schedule.

“Ms. Stanton, it’s been a while. Why are you making me look bad? We’re old acquaintances, to say the
least, but it’s so difficult to even see you.”
Nicole narrowed her eyes and glanced at Logan. She curled her lips and spoke lightly.
“Mr. Lichman, if you’d made an appointment in advance, I’d naturally have to set aside some time for
you. But unfortunately, I already have an appointment tonight, so I can’t entertain you.”
Gerard came unannounced. Moreover, they still needed to observe the situation for the current

date. Why don’t I walk you downstairs Ms. Stanton?”
Nicole looked at him quietly for a moment.
