“I’m in your office. So what? Savanna is my wife. We’re legally married.”
Brandon sounded confident.
Hearing Brandon speak so arrogantly, Savanna thought he wouldn’t feel wronged in Finn’s place.
Unexpectedly, Savanna was relieved.
“Brandon, remember to have soup when you go back to the company. I’ll go shopping with Janet later.”
“OK, honey. Buy whatever you like. I’ll make money to support you.”
Before hanging up the phone, Brandon even displayed affection.
“Got it. Thank you, hubby,” Savanna replied with a smile.
“Just verbal thanks? You’re the boss in our family. Why do I work so hard to earn money?”
“What do you want?” Through the phone, Savanna knew what Brandon wanted to do.
“Honey, kiss me. Let’s do the rest tonight.‘
If they were talking on the phone alone, it would be fine to say that. But when Savanna thought of Finn
next to Brandon, Savanna felt so embarrassed.
She said Brandon was shameless and then hung up the phone.
“Shameless,” Finn imitated Savanna and said. Then, he put on a meaningful smile. “Mr. Cassel, I didn’t
know this about you.”“We are both men. You are the same in front of your own woman. You might be more exaggerating
than me before Ms. Parsons.”
After that, Brandon sat in the empty wheelchair.
Brandon hunched up and looked weak due to the makeup as if he was really ill.
“Is this OK?” Brandon turned to ask.
He saw Finn sitting in the wheelchair absent–minded. Finned looked very sad.
“Mr. Orwell, have you and Ms. Parsons not made peace yet?” Brandon asked tentatively.
Brandon had heard of Lilia going back to Paris in a fit of anger.
Brandon thought that this was just a little problem. Finn and Lilia would get back together soon, but
Brandon didn’t expect that they hadn’t made peace after so long.
Finn didn’t speak or deny it. He still looked very down.
“Why?” Brandon wasn’t a gossip, but he was really curious about this matter. “Why is it so serious?”
“I am about to die,” Finn smiled bitterly and coughed. “How can I be her burden?”
“You should at least make it clear to her. When she hears that you die of illness, she will be even
sadder.”
Brandon advised Finn out of kindness.
But Brandon didn’t expect Finn to take it. After all, everyone had his own thoughts.

Finn had known that Brandon would respond like that and then said, “Mr. Cassel, why are you so
nervous? I just want you to keep this secret for me.

In Brandon’s eyes, the cunning Finn might be plotting something.
“Don’t be so energetic. With this makeup, you should pretend to cough sometimes. You’ll look likę me
when you’re short of breath.”
Finn changed the topic and got back to business.
Brandon glanced at the time and found that there was half an hour before the meeting.
“I’ll read the documents.”
The documents were on the desk, and Brandon was a little far away from the desk. Brandon thought
about whether he should walk over or sit in a wheelchair.
A few seconds later, Brandon clumsily operated the wheelchair and approached the desk.
Brandon was healthy and had never sat in a wheelchair before. So, he looked very funny when he
moved the wheelchair.
Finn chuckled and then said, “You have to practice controlling a wheelchair. Although others will push
your chair most of the time, there’s an exception sometimes.”
“Got it. Don’t disturb me from reading the documents,” Brandon flipped open them and said snappily.Meanwhile, at the Love Wings Child Learning Institute.
Savanna felt bored as she sat in the principal’s office and chatted with Janet.
“Do you really believe that he and Finn are working together?”
“Why not?”
Savanna sat on the sofa and had nothing to do. At the sight of the walnuts on the coffee table, she
grabbed some and wanted to peel them.
“Didn’t you say that they hated each other?”
“Brandon is right. They’re both businessmen. I know that Brandon is ambitious.”
As Savanna spoke, she carefully peeled the walnut.
“If so, I can’t say anything.” Janet shrugged. “Actually, I am quite envious of you, as you can stay
together for so long with the person you liked when you were young.”
When Savanna heard this, she was shocked.

Janet had a hunch that this call must have been from Brandon.

Janet pressed the answer button and heard Brandon’s deep voice. “Savanna, I’m done with my
meeting. I miss you so much.”
“I’m not your wife,” Janet said coldly.

come to find you.‘
“Go shopping? We are at school. I am so busy,” Janet said snappily.
“Where is Savanna? Why isn’t she answering the phone?”
“Your wife went to give your son walnuts. If I didn’t want to tell you something, I wouldn’t have picked
up the phone.” Janet suddenly became serious.“What do you want to say?” Brandon started the car and replied with one hand on the steering wheel.
