Chapter 427Chapter 427 A few days passed after Benjamin confessed to Molly in the café.
Molly did not go to the hospital for a few days. She was scared to face him, and she thought that it would
be very awkward for them to see each other.
She was filling the tea bags in the living room. She
put all the tea leaves she prepared into several small packs before tying a knot on them.
Molly found out that they had finished all the tea bags when she was at home for these few days. So,
she prepared some since she was free.
That tea could help in cutting grease , improving one‘s metabolism, etc. Grandpa Dave was going out,
so it would be best for him to have a cup of it after every meal.
Sean came over to visit after
finishing his work. He thought for a moment and arched his brows after seeing how Molly made herself b
usy in the living room.
He could tell that she was avoiding Benjamin on purpose.
Sean could not help but chuckle to himself. He did not want Molly to have too many interactions with
Benjamin anyway, and it was best if things could go on like this forever.
“Are you preparing the tea leaf?” He said after looking at the things on the table. He
remembered that Molly and her family had a habit of drinking tea after every meal, and
she would do that too whenever he was around.
Molly was already used to his presence in the house. She nodded and
grabbed a tea bag she prepared before putting it in front of him. “Take a whiff and tell me if it‘sgood.”
Her nose was adjusted to the smell of those tea leaves after preparing the tea bags for the entire day, so
it was hard for her to tell if they smelled good.
Sean picked it up and put it in front of his pointy nose before taking a sniff. “It’s pretty fresh. However, it s
mells a little bitterer than the previous batch.”
“That‘s normal because
this batch is fresher. The last batch was less bitter because they were exposed to the sun longer.” Molly
was not bothered by
Sean‘s comment as she tied up another tea bag before putting it aside.” It‘s fine as long as it doesn‘t
have a weird smell.”
“Okay,” Sean responded and put that tea bag back into a pile of other tea bags. “Why do you want to do t
his yourself? Why don‘t you just buy the same brand of this tea leaf somewhere?”
Molly lifted her
head and looked at him. She could not help but blush after seeing Sean‘s smiling face as she started exp
laining, “I was worried that those tea leaves
might be unhygienic, and it‘s going to do more harm than good if they‘re not prepared properly.” That was
because she would occasionally let the triplets drink it too. Children had weaker stomachs , so she felt
more assured if she did everything herself. Sean smiled faintly. “You‘re so thoughtful.”
Sean suddenly realized that Molly
liked to do anything herself. She made the relaxing incense for Sawyer, and now the tea bags.
She was always very genuine and true to the people around her.
Sean suddenly had the urge to protect and pamper Molly after looking at how busy she was. After the sunset and dinner.
Sean was playing chess
with Grandpa Dave in the yard. Molly made some tea beside them and gave them each a
cup.
“It‘s a little bitter, but the texture is great.” Grandpa Dave took a small sip and tasted the
tea before telling Molly.
Then, Grandpa Dave moved his black piece on the chess board and took the upper hand from Sean.
“This is new.”
Molly said while holding a cup of tea as she watched them
play chess quietly. Grandpa Dave looked at the young
man sitting opposite of him with a grin, looking shrewd.
Sean remained
calm. He looked at the chess board for a few seconds before he made his move. He held the hot tea that
his hands and its steam clouded his cold expression.
He smiled at Grandpa Dave and lifted his white
piece before placing it on the chess board again steadily, looking elegant. Grandpa Dave‘s smile stiffened
lightly. He found out that Sean pretended to be vulnerable and lured him into his trap.
