Mr. Scott had planned out everything for Molly.
Then, he listed out every benefit of going to the research laboratory as if he was worried that Molly would turn
down the offer.
"Molly, I co-founded this laboratory with Xesxia University. It's specialized in virology, and it's something that you've
been working on. Besides, Xesxia University has achieved great things in this field. I believe that you’ll gain a lot of
things if you work with them."
Molly was a little tempted.
After all, she had spent a lot of effort in her virology, and she had left her mark in the field with her research.
Everybody wanted to do better and better in their career.
But...
"Mr. Scott, would you give me some time to discuss this with my family?"
Molly hesitated and continued, "I know that work is important, but I don't want to be too far away from
my family. Besides, they don't want me to leave either. So, I need to really think about this..."
Jadon understood what Molly was trying to say after hearing that.
So, he stopped trying to convince her. After all, it was a decision Molly should make for herself.
’Sure. Talk to your family about it. Remember to let me know about your final decision, okay?"
"Of course. Mr. Scott, thanks for the offer."Then, the call ended.
Molly redialed Sean's number and said after the call was connected, "Sean, Mr. Scott called me just
now..."
On the other end of the phone, Alice and Ricky were looking at Sean nervously. They thought that their
son was going to invite Molly over.
However, the only thing that Sean did was concernedly asked, "Did he ask you to travel again?"
"Not really, but he told me that he co-founded a new research laboratory in Xesxia with a local
university there..."
Molly repeated everything that Jadon told her to Sean.
Sean's face darkened as he flatly asked, "So, what do you think?"
Molly sighed, "I'm actually pretty interested, but you and my family are all in Northfolk and I don't feel
like being too far away from all of you. So, I still haven't decided if I really want to work there or not. Do
you think I should go?"
Molly already had an answer when she asked that question.
She was ready to apologize and reject Mr. Scott if Sean said something to stop her from going.
However, Sean gave her a very respectful answer. "Go ahead and do it if that's something you want to do. Xesxia
is not that far from Northfolk anyway. I can send a car to take you back here anytime you want."
Molly was stunned.
She did not expect Sean to be so supportive.She thought that he would stop her from leaving.
Molly felt a lot more empowered after receiving Sean's support as she smiled and said, "Okay. I'll talk to my family
about this again tonight!"
On the other side, Sean said to his parents calmly after he hung up the phone, "Dad, mom. Molly has been very
busy with work recently. I think we should not talk about the kids first. I don’t want to affect her job performance
with things like this."
"What? You told US to do the same thing before this! When are we ever going to ask her about it?"
Alice said in disappointment.
She just could not understand it. All she wanted to do was to bring her grandchildren back to the family, but why
was it so difficult?
