He looked very devastated as he held his fists tightly. He looked at Molly, and he could never imagine doing the same thing to
her.
He had no idea how she could have the heart to do that.
Benjamin took a deep breath and softly said while holding back his pain, "Okay. I understand now, but I'm not going to give up."
He was so stubborn and willful.
Molly looked and him and helplessly said, "I just don't want you to waste any more time on me."
She could not accept Benjamin's deep affection for her, nor could she be responsible for it.
After saying that, Molly took a step to the side and left.
She rested for a while in the pantry after having her lunch. She sat there until two in the afternoon, the
time when she was supposed to return to the lab.
Then, she stood up and went back to work.
Unlike usual, Molly would try to avoid interacting with Benjamin after what happened.
They almost did not talk to each other at all when they were working. The atmosphere felt weird and
different from any other day.
Even though everyone was curious about what happened, they put their mind into their work instead.
They analyzed the data and recorded the outcome without being too bothered by them.It was four fifty. They were going to get off work soon.
Molly felt a vibration in her pocket, she put the report she finished writing on the side and took out her
phone to look at it.
'Sean is coming to pick me up?'
She lifted the edge of her mouth and smiled subtly. Then, she replied instantly, "Sure."
Shortly after, she thought about the kidnapping.
She looked at the text message she had sent and fell into silence.
'Is he still worried about me?'
Even though she remembered what happened at a random time, she was still a little scared.
However, Molly felt a lot better after thinking of how she was going to see Sean after work while holding
her phone.
Her heart even started to beat faster.
Sean received Molly's instant reply. He put his phone back into his pocket after looking at it for less
than two seconds.
That was because he heard a hasty step approaching his office. He felt like that person was looking for him.
Then, the office door was pushed open by a big hand.
Michael stormed in and stopped before Sean, and they were separated by an office desk.Tony, who was standing at the side, took a step forward subconsciously. He was prepared to protect Sean in case Michael tried
to hurt Sean out of anger.
'Sean, this is too much! I'm your uncle, the vice general manager of Anderson Corporation. Even if you have the power to revoke
my authority abroad, you have no right to strip away my position as the vice general manager!" Michael was furious as he said
angrily. A light shone behind his back and his shadow fell on top of Sean's face.
Then, he continued to question Sean. His eyes were burning with flames like a beast as he glared at Sean spitefully.
"Why do you have to push me to the edge? Do you think that your work won't be affected after Anderson Cooperation lost its vice
general manager? There are so many things to be done in the office. Who are you going to replace me with in such a short time?
"Are you really going to put us in this lose-lose situation, so other people can make fun of our family? You're not going to be
satisfied until the media make a fool out of US, huh?!"
His saliva flew all over the documents on the table when he shouted.
Sean already stiffened his back and leaned backward subtly before Michael even opened his mouth. He kept a distance from
Michael and survived the "flood."
