Not long after they arrived at the amusement park, Isabel let loose and dragged Liam all over the park.

After playing the whole day and eating her favorite food, it was finally dark. Sylvia and Aunt Tonya
brought the children back home. It was also on the way back that Sylvia saw a message from the Art
Academy teachers’ group chat.

anymore.”

Sylvia looked at Isabel and Liam, who were already asleep beside her, and lowered her voice to ask,
“Did Odell go to you?”

He did not say anything. Her chest felt stuffy. “I’m sorry, Thomas, It was my fault.” ‘il I hadn’t said those
words to Odell in a fit of anger, he wouldn’t have troubled Thomas.’ He replied, “It’s okay, I only took
this job to pass the time anyway, so it’s fine.” His tone was much more relaxed than before.

Sylvia still felt guilty. After thinking about it, she said, “I’ll go to him later to make things clear.”

Although she did not want to see him again, she had to explain that nothing was going on between
Thomas and her.

“No need. I’m already glad that you called me.” After a pause, he added, “You’ll only end up unhappy if
you go to him, and that’ll make me unhappy too.”

Sylvia’s throat choked up. For a while, she did not know what to say.

“Don’t feel guilty, Sylvia. This job isn’t important to me. The most important thing to me is you.” His

stopped in front of her house. Sylvia and Aunt Tonya carried Isabel and Liam out of the car.
