Caprice wear her boots on purpose.

At that moment, Caprice climbed down from the bed. Her large eyes looked at them, and she said,
“Time to brush my teeth.”

John looked at Sherry who was still dazed by how he braided Caprice’s hair.

She remembered that when they still lived together in that rental house nine years ago, he had helped
to tie her hair too. At that time, his movements were as gentle as how he tied Caprice’s hair earlier.

“What are you spacing out for?” The man’s deep and displeased voice suddenly rang out. His hand
whacked her head at the same time.

Sherry instantly snapped back to her senses. “N–nothing.

Without looking him in the eye, she turned and followed Caprice out.

John narrowed his eyes. He whacked her quite hard just now, but she did not glare at him at all.

Did she feel ashamed of herself because she felt that she could not take care of Caprice as well as
him?

After breakfast, John picked Caprice up. It was clear he wanted to bring her to the office.
