It was a day with dark clouds overcast in the sky above.

An engagement ceremony was happening on this fateful day.

By the time Isabel had rushed over after receiving news of the engagement, the main characters of the
night were in the middle of exchanging their engagement rings, witnessed by their relatives and friends.

Even from a distance, she could recognize the young man ina dazzling white suit.

"Decker!"

She let out a tremendous shout with everything she had in her.She ran onto the red carpet and tried to
stop the man on stage from putting on the ring.

A thick silence fell over the scene.

Everyone turned to look at the brazen woman who had intruded on the ceremony.

Decker, who was facing his fiancée with the brightest smile ever seen, turned around and regarded
Isabel with a look of shock.

His expression was then quickly masked over with stark indifference.

As if Isabel was a stranger to him.

The way he looked at Isabel made her heart throb, but more so than anything, it was rage that
consumed her and kept her going.

She had lost her sense of reason, her eyes flared red with anger as she cried out, Decker, what’s the
meaning of this? Wasn’t it you who said that I’m the only woman in your life and that you’ll marry me?!"

As soon as she said this, the silence seemed to grow another degree thicker.

Soon, the cameras that were originally pointed at the stage were now aimed at her.

Decker's expression dropped. He glared at her icily.

"I don't even know who you are.If you don’t stop your nonsense, we’ll call the police."

Isabel felt like she was going to implode.

The dam broke, tears poured out of her eyes, and she was trembling all over.

In the six months since she had lost her memory and could not locate her family, this was the only
person who stuck by her side. She was loyal to him and would do everything he told her to do.She knew
him more than he knew himself. She was aware of all of his habits and took better care of him than his
housemaids.

All because he was kind to her and had on more than one occasion vowed that he wanted to spend the
rest of his life with her.

She had picked up all sorts of skills to grow into a person who was worthy of calling herself his
partner. She taught herself all sorts of things in hopes of being his reliable partner in furthering his
career.

Yet, he had turned around and got engaged to another woman! To add insult to injury, he acted like he
barely knew her! A burst of rage rushed up to her head, she had lost herself completely.

Blinded by anger, she plucked her feet forward and began stomping toward the stage.

She was going to rush to him so he could see her from a close distance! See if he would still fail to
recognize her! Before she managed to get on the stage, two security guards stepped in front of her.

Decker commanded frostily, "Get her out of here."

Isabel wanted to squeeze through the guards to get to him, but they were one step ahead of her and
had seized her arms.

They carried her like a piece of luggage and threw her out at the entrance.

It was raining cats and dogs.

She was thrown into a puddle of water and was completely drenched.

She hardly felt a thing.

The only thing on her mind was to go inside and put Decker to the question! What happened? What
was the meaning of this? Instead of trying to force her way through again, she lapped around to the
back of the hotel.

She climbed through the windows and managed to sneak into the venue again.

The engagement ceremony had come to a close, Decker was walking his fiancée off the stage, holding
her gently like fine China.

The only thing separating Isabel from him was a screen where she could hear every word of their
dialogue.

His fiancée asked, "Decker, did you not recognize that woman just now?"

Decker assured her softly.

"Triss, you’re the most important woman in my life, I don’t want to lie to you."

After a brief silence, he confessed, "You see, I do know her, but it was long before I met you.

At that time, I was very lonely and she just happened to be around.

We kept each other’s company but I never thought of her as my girlfriend."

Isabel felt like her heart was forcefully torn out of her chest.

She barely managed to have any recollection of how she managed to make it back to the place where
they lived together.

All she could recall was the realization of her being drenched from head to toe upon stopping outside
the door, even her shoes were filled with rainwater.

She was shivering all over.

The rain did not stop until nearly midnight.

She wrapped her arms around herself as a futile way to warm herself and sat there until Decker
returned at last.

He got out of the car and walked up to her.

He propped her chin up with a single finger.
