Caprice gulped, then she shifted her hands to Liam’s shirt and slowly parted them.
Parting the fabric like a curtain, his chiseled chest and abs came into view, all eight blocks of firm
muscles above the belt line.
Caprice felt her cheeks glowing with heat, and even her eyes began to shine. She excitedly placed her
hand on his stomach.
Before she had time to savor the wonderful texture of his toned muscles, she felt her wrist seized by a
hand. She nearly jumped.
Immediately after that, Liam’s hand tugged hard at her.

She landed directly on top of him. She looked up and met his dark, penetrating gaze.
He looked at her with remarkable calmness. The deep, ominous pool of blackness in his eyes made
Caprice shiver. It was terrifying to look into those eyes.
“When did you wake up?”
“What were you going to do to me if I didn’t wake up in time?” he asked with a grin.
She blushed and avoided his gaze. She stammered as she spoke, “I…I wasn’t going to do anything to
you. I just saw that your clothes were creased, so I figured I’d tidy them for you.”
Liam suppressed a smile and grabbed her chin. “Really?”
“Yes!” Caprice almost shrieked.
“It’s still creased. Why don’t you take care of it for me?”
Caprice was taken aback by this offer. “Can…can I?”
Liam let go of her arms.
She stood up.
He rose from the recliner as well and stood in front of her like a mannequin. His figure that obstructed
the light pouring in from outside cast a large shadow on Caprice’s tiny figure.
She looked up at him.
His shirt was barely hanging onto his body by this point. How was she supposed to fix it?
Just as she was considering if she should help him button up the shirt, he suddenly moved. His slender
fingers progressed through the buttons from the top to bottom, unbuttoning them one after the other.
Caprice felt her breath stifled, and her cheeks grew red.
Liam looked at her and said in a sensual voice, “You can start now.”
Start what?
Touching him?
Since he had unbuttoned his shirt, this was probably what he meant.
She looked at him with an uncertain look in her eyes.
He met her gaze head-on with the usual cool look on his face, but she could not make out what he was
thinking.
Was he intentionally doing this because his afternoon sleep was interrupted and decided that this was
the way to punish her?
She suppressed her nerves as best as she could.
She made her hands move and began to help him button his shirt again, starting from the neckline.
She muttered a wry explanation, didn’t mean to wake you up…”
Liam was silent.
His brows furrowed.
He took a deep breath. Without warning, he threw his arms around her waist and pulled her into his
arms. He lowered his head and planted a passionate kiss on her lips.
Caprice was completely taken by shock.
Why did he suddenly kiss her?
His movements were brash and tempestuous.
She did not have time to collect herself and lost herself in the passion.
After a prolonged kiss, Liam released her from the kiss at last. He wrapped her in his arms and
muttered in a low voice, “Dummy.”
Caprice was still busy catching her breath, but the moment she heard Liam making fun of her, he
turned up and asked snappily, “Who are you calling a dummy?”
She hated having her intellect insulted!
Liam looked at her puffed-up, angry expression and said with his lips quipped to the side, “I was talking
about myself.”
Caprice grinned. She pressed herself close to his chest and wrapped her arms tightly around him
before asking, ‘When did you wake up?” “I wasn’t sleeping,” he confessed.
