Chapter 1175 Beneath the pair of gold-framed glasses was a sharp pair of eyes glaring at her. Sherry
stuttered for a moment but quickly recollected herself.

all over the floor and the bucket on the ground.

He turned to Sherry.

Sherry brushed the clumps of her wet hair away from her forehead and folded her arms acrossher
chest before stating, “It was her who splashed water over my face first." "I didn't!" Shannon defended
herself, “John, she's saying this to make me look bad.



I was just paying her a visit when she began to provoke me for no reason.

She was telling me something about you having an affair with her and that you only caredabout her.

I admit I got upset but I only sprinkled her with a bit of water.

She then overreacted and splashed an entire bucket full of water over me.” Sherry was repulsed by the

Shannon cast a hateful look at her but with John here, she had to control herself.

She smiled rather unconvincingly and said, “Look, Sister.

I know John better than you.

I understand that even though he has some history with you, he has moved on and since then, has
decided to marry me instead.

I'm sure he doesn't have any more feelings for you so please don’t keep any more appropriate thoughts
about him.” Sherry smiled ostentatiously and said, “Alright, I understand, don't worry about it.” Shannon
grimaced.

1 Suddenly, John took his coat off and threw it over Shannon.

He gently patted her on the shoulder and said tenderly, “Come on, you’ll catch a cold.

I'll come back to see you after I talk to her.” This seemed to convince Shannon at last.

She smiled tenderly and nodded before turning to leave.

Before stepping out, she turned back for one last look before turning the corner.

The smile on Sherry’s face immediately vanished.

She quickly turned around and limped into the bathroom on her calf which had not fully recovered yet.

John stood motionlessly and looked at her without a word.
