John curled his lips into a wicked smile and did not release his grip.

Sherry used all her strength but could not break free. Her throat choked for a moment before she smile
d at him. “Master Stockton, we’re alone here. It’s not appropriate for you to cling to my hand like this.”

John smirked and let her go.

Sherry immediately withdrew her hand and sat up straight, then looked over at Caprice in his arms.

John turned so that his back was facing her.

In his other arm, Caprice was blocked by his figure, thus Sherry could not see the girl at all.

She could only move sideways and only stop until she was almost pressing onto him. Then, she raised
her chin and saw the girl’s sleeping

face through his neckline.

Her eyelashes were thick and curved, and the tip of her nose and lips were
red and moist. She was absolutely adorable.

Sherry loved her the more she looked at her. The
corners of her mouth curled up uncontrollably, and she reached out from John’s shoulder to poke at the
girl’s fleshy face.

Just when her finger was just an inch away from Caprice’s face, the back of her hand was slapped hard

John, who hit her, turned his head and gave her a sidelong glance. “Do you want to say goodbye to you
r hand?” How dare she poke his precious daughter?

Sherry gritted her teeth and retracted her hand. However, she could not help but mutter, gave birth to h

o her, but then you immediately abandoned her two years ago. She’s mine alone.”

Sherry gnashed her teeth. “I didn’t abandon her. You stole her.”

turned his head and narrowed his eyes, looking at her grimly. “Which eye of yours saw me stealing her
?”

“Both my eyes saw-” She choked up in the

middle of her sentence.

Two years ago, he had led people to break into the confinement center, and she had run away in
fear of being locked up by him again.

He had taken Caprice away after that. Indeed,

he had not stolen her.

John looked at her with a smile. “Why don’t you finish your sentence?”



Sherry frowned and said nothing.

The atmosphere in the car was quiet for a

She glared at him. “If you hadn’t brought your people into the confinement center two years ago, I woul
dn’t have run away. Although you

didn’t steal her
explicitly, I wouldn’t have left her behind if you hadn’t gone looking for me! I wouldn’t have been separat
ed from her for two years!”

The spacious carriage suddenly became quiet.

Sherry glared at him with red eyes.



John’s gaze also turned chilly.

After a long moment, he suddenly smiled and asked her, “Sherry, have I been treating you too kindly?”

How dare she say that he had separated the mother and daughter?!

Back then, he had clearly chased her to the road and shouted for her to come back!
