Lisa’s eyes teared up. “Good, good. As long as you know your way home.”

She urged Sherry to take the property deeds. “Keep these.”

Sherry accepted her goodwill. “Thank you, Lisa.”

The lunch went on for hours. Lisa chatted with her about many things.

They only went back to the office in the evening.

There were still resignation procedures that Sherry needed to be a part of, especially since she was a

There was some time left before clocking out, so she went back to her department and held a small
meeting with her subordinates to tell them that she was leaving. Her subordinates were all smart

Sherry could not help but kiss her cheek again, and Caprice giggled happily.

Then, a big hand patted Sherry’s head. She turned to John.

John looked at her with a gentle gaze and asked, “Did Mrs. Sager give you an answer?”

He was referring to the resignation letter she sent to Lisa last night.

Sherry nodded. “Lisa approved it.”

John noticed her lifted mood. It seemed like the resignation did not affect her and Lisa seemed to
approve of it rather quickly. He exclaimed, “Then, let’s go home.”

“Okay.”



Sherry carried Caprice into the rear seat while John got into the driver’s seat.

The car drove out of the parking lot and joined the traffic on the road.
