Sylvia told him to wait a moment. After Aunt Tonya and her sent the children back to their room, she
quickly turned back and went to the front gate.

She wanted to change the locks of the front door and living room door to prevent that man from coming
uninvited again.

She replaced the locks with fingerprint locks.

After the locksmith installed it, Sylvia entered Aunt Tonya and her fingerprints separately, and it was
completed.

Then, she locked both doors and returned to the house with Aunt Tonya.

Aunt Tonya noticed that something was wrong and asked in a low voice, “Sylvia, weren’t you and him
fine before? Did something happen last night?”

Sylvia’s gaze went cold. She did not want to think about last night when Odell chose Tara when they
were kidnapped at the same time. Aunt Tonya would only be angry and worried if she knew, so Sylvia
simply said, “It’s nothing. I just finally decided that I don’t want to be involved with him anymore.”

Aunt Tonya sighed. “That’s good.”

Late at night, Sylvia finally managed to fall asleep, but her phone suddenly rang.

She was startled awake and picked up the phone to see Sebastian as the caller ID. She was confused.
‘Why is Sebastian calling me at this time?’



Without thinking much about it, she brought the phone to her ear, but what came from the phone was a
man’s gloomy voice. “Open the door.”

‘Odell?

Sylvia’s expression changed. She hung up the phone and turned it off.

Outside the gate, Odell’s tall figure stood straight in the night.

He looked in the direction of Sylvia’s bedroom. His dark expression almost blended in with the night.

‘Is this woman planning to break it off with me completely?’

to smash the door down!”

Sebastian shrunk and said in a small voice, “Master Carter, that’s not very appropriate.”

that moment, several bodyguards holding a battering ram prepared to smash the door of her living
room. Sylvia could not help but call out, “Odell Carter, tell them to stop!”

He looked at her coldly. “They’ll stop if you open the door.”

She took a deep breath and looked at him with eyes filled with anger. Then, she picked up her phone,
dialed the emergency number, and showed him the screen. “I’ll call the police if you don’t stop them!”

He smiled coldly. “Continue to break down the door!” In an instant, several guards swung the battering
ram on the door panel. Sylvia stepped back in fright. Before she could press the dial button, she heard
a “crash”, and the glass door shattered.

Odell took one large step forward and arrived in front of her eyes.

Sylvia’s eyes widened, and she subconsciously turned around and ran. However, before she could take
a few steps, the back of her collar was suddenly yanked.

The next second, she was dragged into a broad but cold embrace.

Her waist was tightly pinched. The phone in her hand fell to the ground.

Her feet left the ground, and she was carried by him into the cold night outside.

“Odell Carter, let me go!” she screamed in shock. Odell ignored her, but his pace became quicker. At
that moment, Aunt Tonya also heard the commotion and ran out. When she saw Sylvia being carried
out by Odell, she chased after them and shouted, “Odell! Put Syl down now! You’re not allowed to bully
her!” However, she was stopped by several guards just before she could catch up to them.
