Sherry was woken up by the alarm clock in the morning. After she packed up, she went to the Sager
Tower.

Most of the employees were acquainted with her by now.

sat down.

It was a voice message from Lisa, “Sherry, I have some bad news, that b*stard Ron had his assistant
spread news about the scar on your left arm. But don’t worry about it, I’ll make sure he gets what he
deserves as well. Soon, you’ll begin hearing about that one time he got caught cheating by Anne and
was kicked out onto the streets butt naked.”

Sherry could barely stifle her laugh upon hearing this.



She was aware that Ron was a cheater and that even till now, he had a couple of mistresses out there.
Still, this was the first time she heard about him being caught by Anne.

Sherry assured Lisa. “Aunt Lisa, don’t worry about me, I don’t care about all that.”

Lisa was relieved. “That’s good to know.”

She sent another follow-up message, “One more thing, I got in touch with the best wedding dress
designer in Coastrock, we’re going to tailor the perfect wedding dress for you. She freed up her
schedule this afternoon. Come with me this afternoon so we can get your measurements, then she can
get started on the design. It’s going to be wonderful.”

Sherry replied, “No need for that, Aunt Lisa. I can just buy one at the dress shop myself.” She was
going to get engaged to Carl at the start of the next month.

It was nothing more than a formality to publicize their engagement, so she did not see the need to
make a whole ordeal out of it and get a tailor-made dress for the occasion.

Lisa immediately objected. “That won’t do. You’re my daughter-in-law, what would I ever do if people
found out that I let my daughter-in-law wear a common dress on the day of her engagement?”

Sherry refuted weakly, “Aunt Lisa, it’s not a big deal, it’s just a formality.”

Lisa was adamant. “Absolutely not. I’ll see you later at three, end of discussion.”

Sherry gave up on trying to persuade the headstrong Aunt Lisa.

She was tough as nails once she made up her mind on something, so it was no use trying to object.

Time flew by when one was busy working.



Sherry had a meeting after lunch. After wrapping up the meeting and stepping out of the conference
room, she met Lisa in her office.

It seemed like Lisa had been waiting.

As soon as they made eye contact, Lisa went up to Sherry and led her away without a word. They
