Susan was focused on her objective and started right away. “Miss Sherry, what kind of dress do you
like?”

Sherry had no opinions. “Anything that suits me.”

Susan smiled briskly before handing a booklet to Sherry. “Here are some of my recent designs, take a
look and see if there’s anything that catches your eye.”

Sherry took the booklet and began going through it.

There were dresses of all sorts of colors, and all of them gave off a different impression

but one thing they had in common was that they were all gorgeous beyond belief.

There was one problem, however…

Sherry asked hesitantly, “Susan, do you have anything that sports a long sleeve?”

Susan did a double take.

Lisa realized what Sherry meant and repeated the request, “Yeah, Susan, do you have anything long-
sleeved for her?”

“I do, but there’s only one design. It’s a rather new design, I only just made the dress yesterday,” Susan
rose as she said this.

Sherry and Lisa rose as well and followed her to another section of the studio that had at large
assortment of dresses hung everywhere.



One of them was a long-sleeved dress.

Peals were embroidered along its waistline, it was very elegant and fashionable.

Most importantly, it sported a unique long-sleeve design that was perfect for covering up her scars.

“Miss Sherry, what do you think about this one?” Susan asked eagerly.

Sherry smiled. “I think it’s wonderful.”

Lisa was delighted to hear this and beckoned, “Go on, try it!”

Susan gave Sherry an inviting look.

Sherry smiled and took the dress. “Sure.”

It took some time to put on the dress, but the good news was that it was a perfect fit.

It was as if the dress was specifically made for her as if fate had ordained it.

Sherry emerged from the dressing room.

Both Lisa and Susan were eagerly waiting to see the soon-to-be bride in her new dress. The moment
Sherry emerged, they were both awed by what they were seeing.

“Sherry, you’re beautiful!” Lisa exclaimed warmly, she quickly walked up to Sherry to get a closer look
while commenting, “It’s a shame you’re skinnier now, you’d have looked even better if you wore this
back then.”

Sherry grimaced instinctively upon hearing this.



Susan salvaged the situation with a quick-witted remark. “She looks wonderful in this dress. even with
her current figure. I think this is the right dress for you, Miss Sherry.”

“Of course, of course.” Lisa turned to Sherry. “Sherry, do you like this one? Or would you like to see if
there are better options for you?”

“I like this one, let’s settle with this.” She did not want to take more time than necessary.

Lisa was overjoyed to hear this. “Perfect! This one it is.”

With that, she went to pay for the dress.

Sherry remained in front of the mirror and looked at her reflection.

Inside the mirror was a petite lady with fair skin, she looked like an angel.

It was indeed a beautiful dress, perfect for a wedding. She loved the marble white fabric. and its cut
was perfect for her.

She looked like she was modeling for a wedding dress photoshoot.

She almost could not recognize herself.

Meanwhile, inside the car parked outside.

A pair of eyes stared through the tinted glasses, into the standing mirror inside the studio. The man
inside the car took in the breathless sight of the lady in white.

John was bedazzled by what he was seeing and for a moment, could not speak at all.



After some time passed, Sherry went back into the fitting room to change out of the dress. This took
him out of his trance.

Sherry changed back into the clothes she came in and by the time she emerged from the fitting room,
Lisa had already paid for the dress.

Susan informed with a satisfied smile, “Mrs. Lisa, I’ll take another look at the dress and have my
assistant delivered to your residence by tonight.”

Lisa smiled and thanked Susan.

Susan then turned to Sherry and congratulated her on the fine purchase, “Excellent choice, Miss
Sherry. Let me wish you and Master Carl a happy engagement in advance.”

Sherry thanked her kindly.

With that, she left with Lisa.

As soon as they stepped out of the studio, they bumped into Carl who had just arrived. He seemed like
he came here in a hurry. When he saw Sherry and Lisa stepping out, he immediately asked, “Mom, has
Sherry finished picking out the dress already?”

Lisa asked rather snappily, “She’s already picked out the dress. What took you so long to get here?
What were you getting up to?”

Carl immediately turned to Sherry. “Hey, Sherry, which dress did you pick?”
