Liam took a sip of his coffee and did not respond.

roommate.”

Liam clapped the cup against the table and said crossly, “You can go now.”

His voice was severe.

A look of panic flashed past Heather’s eyes and she stammered, “S-sorry, was it something I said?”

Liam spoke gravely, “This is the last time you’ll talk about Caprice in front of me. One more time, and I’ll
invite you to pack your bags and leave.”
