Chapter 1205 John beckoned hier over. “Come here, and I‘ll tell you.”

Sherry immediately recognized that he was up to no good. She remained rooted to the spot and said,
“I‘m not interested anymore. I don‘t need to know.”

John smiled, then he stood up and walked towards her.

Sherry frowned. “What are you doing?”

However, he did not answer. He only smiled profoundly as he continued drawing closer toward her. He
was like an elusive prince seen in fairy tales. Nobody could tell what was on his mind, and the only
impression he left behind was his dignified aura.

Sherry waited for him to approach. She would not admit it but she was curious to see what he was up
to.

He approached her in no time and wrapped his arm around her waist.

Completely defenseless, Sherry found herself taken into his arms in an instant. She immediately
became upset and tried to shove him away.

Nevertheless, John tightened his grip and kept her wrapped inside his arms as he drew his lips closer
to her ear and whispered seductively, “Sherry, I need you.”

Sherry felt her ears burning. In an instant, she felt a wave of fury rush to her head. Without realizing it,
she swung her hands right into his face.

John grabbed her hands just in time. He was already expecting her to respond by attacking him. He
wore the same triumphant smile on his face. Gradually, his smile transformed into one that was like

an old fox‘s, full of cunningness and danger. Sherry glared at him. “Let go of me!” Not only did John
refuse to let go, but he also began to fix a burning, intent look on her reddened cheeks underneath his
glasses,

Something burned inside his eyes. It was the color of deep red passion. Sherry immediately recognized
that look. How could she not know?

She promptly roared at him without warning, “You bastard, go to your wife if that‘s what you want! Stop
touching me!” John frowned. Again, he threw his arms around Sherry. He held her tightly from behind,
his arms circling lier waist.

Sherry tried to wring herself free.

John breathed into her ears and growled deeply, “Stop moving. I won‘t be able to resist if you keep
moving.”

Sherry froze and stopped moving.

Silence descended upon them.

She could feel the steam of his breath beating against her ears. She tensed up and no longer moved.
After some time, his breathing seemed to relax at last.

Sherry looked up at him and tried to persuade him to let go again as she met his eyes. He must have
been staring at her the entire time, but the



glasses did nothing to reduce the intensity of his gaze.

Sherry froze. Her first instinct was to avoid his gaze. Then, she pleaded helplessly, “Can you let me go
already?”

As soon as she said that, she felt his grip loosening. She wrung herself free and immediately stepped a
few steps away from him.

John stood like a totem over her and cast a deep look at her. “Sherry, won‘t you let me touch you at
all?”

There was a low rumble in his voice. His demeanor seemed to have transformed slightly, and his usual
cockiness seemed to have vanished.

Sherry felt a heavy weight upon her chest. She did not even look at him as she answered, “Not a
chance.”

He was already married to Shannon, and she was not interested in becoming his mistress!

John fixed an intent look at her before declaring icily,” Okay, leave then.”

Leave?

Sherry‘s expression brightened. She looked at him and asked to further confirm, “So, I can call it a
day?”

A sinister smile appeared on John‘s handsome face as he promptly stated, “Go outside and stand by
the door. You are not allowed to leave until your shift has ended. If you clock out even a second earlier,
then you can say goodbye to your meal tomorrow.”



Sherry glared at him contemptuously , then she turned and left.

Upon throwing the door to the study open, she saw Shannon standing by the door. Her eyes were
pulsing with red while she looked at Sherry with such malice that it seemed like she would stab Sherry
with a dagger right then and there.

Sherry cast a disinterested look at her, then she continued advancing before stopping in the living
room.
