conversation. She asked chyly, “Aunt Sylvia, let’s talk somewhere else”



She did not want to disturb Liam’s reading session.

Sylvia seemed to not get the hint. She took Caprice’s hands and assured her, “Don’t worry about him.
We can talk all we want! He’ll go somewhere else if our chatter is bothering him.”

Caprice jerked her lips into a frown and looked at Liam. He happened to be flipping to another page,
and the same impassive look remained on his face.
